Ecobulk SX-D-OV: maximum protection and easy handling of sensitive filling products

The Ecobulk SX-D-OV combines maximum safety with easy handling: filling product can be conveniently discharged from below, as for conventional IBCs.
In the form of the Ecobulk SX-D-OV, Schütz is presenting a new variant of its double-wall IBC system at the Fachpack 2025. This model combines maximum fire and leakage protection with the possibility of practical product discharge from below - another step towards complying with the increasing demands on safety and efficiency in sensitive supply chains.

The safe transport and storage of combustible hazardous liquids is regarded as one of the greatest challenges in packaging management. Schütz has developed the Ecobulk SX-D to meet these requirements: an IBC with an HDPE inner container and a completely closed, fireproof steel shell. This also serves as an integrated containment basin and prevents the contents from escaping even in the event of a fire. The double-wall design thus offers a high level of protection, even for demanding Class 6.1 hazardous goods. Thanks to its special properties, the SX-D is the only combination IBC to date with certification by FM Global. It also meets the requirements of Underwriters Laboratories (UL) with regard to safety and fire resistance. The Ecobulk SX-D is not only suitable for use in Ex zones 1 and 2, but also for particularly sensitive areas where fire and leakage protection and risk minimisation are top priorities. The IBC has a filling volume of 1,000 litres and contents can be discharged via the front bung on the top of the container.

With its Ecobulk SX-D-OV, Schütz has extended its tried-and-tested concept to include a decisive convenient advantage: a steel lid is integrated in the outer steel casing, which can be opened with a clamping ring and without tools. Behind it is the outlet fitting, which allows discharge from below – as with a conventional IBC. As soon as the lid is closed, the SX-D-OV offers full fire and leakage protection.

Interested parties can discover the Ecobulk SX-D-OV and other new products from Schütz at Stand 6-328 in Hall 6 at the FACHPACK.
