The safe transport and storage of combustible hazardous liquids is regarded as one of the greatest challenges in packaging management. Schütz has developed the Ecobulk SX-D to meet these requirements: an IBC with an HDPE inner container and a completely closed, fireproof steel shell. This also serves as an integrated containment basin and prevents the contents from escaping even in the event of a fire. The double-wall design thus offers a high level of protection, even for demanding Class 6.1 hazardous goods. Thanks to its special properties, the SX-D is the only combination IBC to date with certification by FM Global. It also meets the requirements of Underwriters Laboratories (UL) with regard to safety and fire resistance. The Ecobulk SX-D is not only suitable for use in Ex zones 1 and 2, but also for particularly sensitive areas where fire and leakage protection and risk minimisation are top priorities. The IBC has a filling volume of 1,000 litres and contents can be discharged via the front bung on the top of the container.
