UNITED BY A LOVE OF SAILING

    We have a long and successful tradition of sailing in the person of Udo Schütz, our company’s founder. Our own racing yacht, the “CONTAINER”, won the Admiral’s Cup in 1993.

    In our Composites division, SCHÜTZ develops and produces lightweight materials under the brand name CORMASTER®. These materials are used in the aerospace industry as well as in boat and yacht building.

    For example, the company’s own, successful “CONTAINER” racing yachts were largely built using the high-performance material developed and produced in-house by SCHÜTZ.

    CONTAINER – BUILT WITH CORMASTER®

    The yacht CONTAINER, launched in 2008, still represents the state of the art in material technology. She embodies the success and durability of our lightweight honeycomb material in modern yacht building


    The material currently used for the hull CORMASTER® CN1 is a specially developed Kevlar honeycomb, which is approx. 15 % lighter but offers the same strength, and was previously exclusively used in aircraft construction.

    Under the CORMASTER® brand, the company has for more than three decades produced lightweight honeycomb materials and fibre composites, which are used in a wide range of applications, including the aerospace industry.


    CORMASTER® Honeycombs are available as entire blocks, sawed sheets or engineered parts, e.g. as milled structures or sandwich panels.
